A Message From the Director of VIRAL,

On behalf of the Company, we would like to add our names to the list of Illinois State University students, faculty, and staff who are deeply saddened by the death of Christopher Predmore, a freshman marketing major. Our thoughts are with Christopher’s family and friends.

We also wish to reiterate the words of President Larry Dietz:

“Grief can affect us all in different ways and at different times. It's very important to remember that we are not alone; there are always people here to listen and help. The Illinois State community is strong and supportive and counselors are always available through our Student Counseling Services office at 438-3655.”

Tonight marks the collegiate premiere of Mac Rogers’ VIRAL, a play that provocatively explores themes and poses questions some members of the ISU community may find troubling. However, we remain committed to the dialogue that VIRAL engenders.  Ours is a coal-black comedy that offers audiences the unique opportunity to laugh at the unimaginable and engage in a discussion about issues often unaddressed in modern entertainment.

The Company has been at work on this play throughout the semester, and we are eager to share it with you. We offer you permission to laugh, to be entertained, and to be challenged.

Sincerely,

Director David Ian Lee & the Company of VIRAL
